MERCATURA BIOMASS SDN. BHD. is committed to promoting biomass sustainability. Our approach is based on the three aspects — Prosperity, Planet, and People, also known as 3Ps. This Sustainability Policy is also in line with the requirements of the Green Gold Label-Chain of Custody (GGL-COC).
By embracing sustainability for the 3Ps, we aim to produce sustainable outcomes by fine-tuning our current practices and processing methods towards these goals. Additionally, all our practices align with industry, national, and international Best Management Practices (BMP).
Lastly, we ensure that external and internal stakeholders are well-treated and maintain a good relationship with the Company. We also ensure that all relevant staff demonstrate awareness of the participants' procedures and competence in implementing the GGL requirements, conduct regular management reviews, ensure the availability of necessary resources, and conduct internal audits to continually assess and enhance our biomass sustainability practices and compliance with GGL standards.
The three pillars that guide all our sustainability decisions and business operations.
Our Sustainability Policy is fully aligned with the requirements of the Green Gold Label-Chain of Custody (GGL-COC) certification. This internationally recognised standard ensures that our biomass products are traceable from source to delivery.
GGL-COC certification demonstrates our commitment to responsible biomass sourcing and our dedication to transparency throughout the entire supply chain.
We ensure that all relevant staff demonstrate awareness of participant procedures and competence in implementing GGL requirements, and we conduct regular internal audits to continually enhance our compliance.
This Sustainability Policy comprises the following principles that have been integrated into our management systems.
BIOMASS SOURCES SHOULD BE SOURCED FROM SUSTAINABLE SUPPLIER.
BIOMASS SOURCES SHOULD NOT BE OBTAINED FROM HIGH-RISK FEEDSTOCKS.
GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS AND SAVINGS SHOULD BE PROPERLY ACCOUNTED.
BIOMASS SOURCES USE SHOULD BE LIMITED TO WHAT CAN BE SUSTAINABLY SUPPLIED.
